Product Description
Since he was a small boy, Mosab Hassan Yousef has had an inside view of the deadly terrorist group Hamas. The oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member of Hamas and its most popular leader, young Mosab assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to assume his legacy, politics, status . . . and power. But everything changed when Mosab turned away from terror and violence, and embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader. In Son of Hamas, Mosab Yousef--now called "Joseph"--reveals new information about the world's most dangerous terrorist organization and unveils the truth about his own role, his agonizing separation from family and homeland, the dangerous decision to make his newfound faith public, and his belief that the Christian mandate to "love your enemies" is the only way to peace in the Middle East.

5 out of 5 stars The truth is power   September 9, 2010
Amanda Sayres (San Antonio)
I had cold chills so many times through reading this story. This man's life is an incredible story of redemption and what an awesome journey to get there. If there is anyone that understands both sides of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict it's the author of this book. It is well written, easy to understand, NEVER boring or dull, and through it all you can really see how God is using him for His purposes from the beginning. Thank you for writing this book so the rest of us can understand a little better.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding   September 8, 2010

Excelent book: I couodn't stop reading it since I read the first page. It gives an amazing intern al view of the organization, it's members, how does it work, it's believes, it's structure and what Hamas is all about. It also gives a clear detailed view of who are the good guys and bad guys inside the different movements that seeked the cration of a Palestinian state.
The writter of these book explains also wonderfully it's own gradual conversion to the christian faith that really captures the reader. Definitely, even if your not very interested in the Palestinian Jewish conflict it's a book you must read.

5 out of 5 stars Riveting story   September 3, 2010

This is an excellent book that is page turner! Having an insider's perspective of both Hamas and the Israeli government is intriguing enough, but to add the perspective of his new-found Christian faith makes this truly interesting and informative reading.

Incredibly insightful account from an insider...his bravery, courage and love for his family and people is amazing. You will gain a new understanding of the conflict in the Middle East in this story of one man's journey of faith

This book was enjoyable to read and it felt as if I was read a Tom Clancy novel with all the action that was going on. But the best part of the book was understanding a different perspective on the same beliefs I have. You should buy this book.
